Jessica Ellen Cornish, popularly called Jessie J, is a popular English artist and singer. Jessie gained fame early for her distinctive style of music which blends soul and hip-hop, pop, and electropop. She has received awards like the 2011 Critics' Choice Brit Award and BBC's Sound of 2011 as well numerous nominations. Her career began at the young age of 11, when she was selected for the show "Whistle Down the Wind' by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Then, she was a part of the 'National Youth Music Theatre' and appeared in the production by the theater The Late Sleepers which was first performed in 2002. It was 2011 with her first studio album 'Who You Are,' which came out on February 28. It became a massive success immediately. Within the first few days there were 105,000 copies sold in the UK and 34,000 copies in the US.
